A simple way to increase physical activity has been named

Researchers from Monash University have discovered that going to bed early may be the key to increasing physical activity the next day. A large-scale study, published in the prestigious journal PNAS, analyzed nearly six million observations of 19 thousand participants over an entire year.
The results were impressive: people who preferred to go to bed earlier demonstrated significantly higher levels of physical activity. For instance, "early birds" who went to bed at 9:00 PM exercised on average half an hour longer compared to "night owls" who fell asleep around 1:00 AM. Notably, even with the same sleep duration, earlier bedtimes were consistently associated with increased physical activity.
Scientists attribute this effect to reduced "social jetlag" and the body's better readiness for daytime activity. Although the study revealed only a correlation, not a causal relationship, experts believe that simply adjusting sleep time could become an effective strategy for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
