Dentist revealed two dangerous mistakes when storing a toothbrush

Famous Spanish orthodontist Janira Sanchez, in an interview with the popular publication 20minutos, spoke about two common mistakes that most people make when storing toothbrushes.
"People think that the cap protects the toothbrush, whereas in reality, moisture trapped between the bristles promotes the growth of fungi and bacteria on them," explained Sanchez. The specialist recommends that those who are not ready to completely abandon the use of protective caps should choose ventilated models and only put them on after the brush has completely dried.
The second serious mistake, according to the expert, is the incorrect placement of toothbrushes in the bathroom. Sanchez strongly recommends storing the glass with the toothbrush in a closed cabinet to protect it from harmful particles in the air, especially if there is a toilet nearby.
In conclusion of the interview, the dentist urged people to abandon the common practice of storing several toothbrushes in one glass, as this leads to their mutual contamination.
