Vladimir Zelensky called Ilham Aliyev

On July 1, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to AZERTAJ, V. Zelensky expressed condolences on behalf of the Ukrainian public regarding the murder of our compatriots as a result of attacks on Azerbaijanis in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg.
I. Aliyev thanked him for the condolences.
President V. Zelensky also expressed gratitude to the head of our state for Azerbaijan's support in evacuating Ukrainian citizens from Iran.
During the telephone conversation, views were exchanged on the prospects of bilateral relations between our countries, and an agreement was reached to hold a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in Baku as soon as possible. Mutual support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan and Ukraine was reaffirmed.
The President of Ukraine also expressed gratitude for the humanitarian aid provided by Azerbaijan to his country.
