Train service will be suspended between "28 May" and "Darnagul" stations

As part of the project to separate the intersecting "red" and "green" lines at the "28 May" metro station, construction of the "Darnagul" electric depot is beginning. After completion of the first stage, construction of a tunnel approximately 200 m long is planned to connect the "Jafar Jabbarli" and "Nizami" stations.

As Oxu.Az reports, this was announced by the Deputy Head of the Construction Projects Management Department of "Baku Metro" CJSC Mamed Rzayev.

Thus, during the works, there will be no changes in train traffic on the "red" line, they will continue to run on the "Icherisheher" - "Ahmadli" route.

However, the "28 May" metro station will be partially closed. Train traffic from the "28 May" station towards the "Darnagul" station will be suspended. Trains will run between the "Darnagul" and "Nizami" stations. During this time, this branch will be served by the "Darnagul" electric depot.

This will inevitably lead to passengers traveling towards the "Darnagul" station facing certain difficulties for six months.
