Hikmet Hajiyev: Azerbaijan and the UAE are like-minded allies and strategic partners

Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are like-minded countries and strategic partners that, by joining forces, contribute to strengthening peace and stability in the region.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev, speaking at the Arab Media Forum in Dubai.

According to him, Azerbaijan continues to develop its multifaceted geopolitical identity.

"One of our identities is connected to the South Caucasus, another to the Middle East, since Azerbaijan is part of the broader Islamic civilization. In the broader Middle East region, we see that there is perhaps a certain geographical distance between the United Arab Emirates and Azerbaijan," he noted.

At the same time, Hajiyev emphasized that Azerbaijan and the UAE are like-minded countries and strategic partners.

"We speak with one voice and believe that our countries, by combining joint efforts, contribute to ensuring peace and security in our region," the presidential assistant added.
