Scientists warn - a prolonged magnetic storm is expected on February 1

A weak but prolonged magnetic storm is expected on Earth in the early hours of February 1. This was announced by Professor Sergey Bogachev from the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) in an interview with the "Moscow" agency.
According to the scientist, seven flares were recorded on the Sun on January 31: one of the second-highest M-class power and six medium C-class flares. Solar flares are classified into five categories depending on their radiation power: A, B, C, M, and X.
The second-highest M-class power flare was registered at 10:10 Baku time and lasted 32 minutes. The first medium C-class flare was observed at 01:25 Baku time.
Magnetic storms are disturbances in Earth's magnetic field that occur as a result of solar activity. They form when powerful streams of charged particles, arising from solar flares and coronal mass ejections, reach our planet and interact with its magnetosphere.
The impact of magnetic storms on people can vary. Some people may experience exacerbation of chronic diseases, headaches, fatigue, irritability, and decreased concentration.
However, magnetic storms are a natural phenomenon, and each organism reacts to them differently. Regular physical exercise, healthy sleep, and a balanced diet can help minimize their impact on health.
