Media: Iran has responded to the US 15-point peace plan
Iran has transmitted an official response to the US 15-point conflict resolution plan through intermediaries.
This was reported by Tasnim, citing a source.
According to the information, the response was sent on March 25, and Tehran is now awaiting Washington's reaction.
The Iranian side put forward the following conditions:
- cessation of military operations on all fronts against all resistance groups in the Middle East;
- creation of conditions to prevent the conflict from resuming;
- compensation payments to Iran must be clearly defined and guaranteed.
"Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz has been and will remain a natural and legitimate right of Iran, as well as a guarantee of the other party's fulfillment of its obligations," Tehran's response stated.
According to The New York Times, the US plan concerns Iran's ballistic missile program, the country's nuclear program, and maritime navigation issues. The proposal also includes a provision for easing sanctions against Iran, the Associated Press learned. The key intermediary between the US and Iran has been Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir.
