Xi Jinping congratulated Ilham Aliyev on the Nowruz holiday

President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

As reported by AZERTAC, the message states:

"Dear Mr. President,

I have the honor to express my heartfelt gratitude to You for the congratulatory letter on the occasion of the Spring Festival. On behalf of the Government and the people of China, I extend sincere congratulations to You, the Government, and the entire people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the traditional holiday of Novruz.

China and Azerbaijan are comprehensive strategic partners. In recent years, political mutual trust has been strengthened and cooperation in all areas has been advanced. I attach great importance to the development of relations between China and Azerbaijan and am ready to join efforts with You to further elevate the China-Azerbaijan comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
