Due to "Formula 1" these streets in Baku will be CLOSED

In connection with the Azerbaijan Grand Prix "Formula 1," traffic will be restricted on streets within the Baku City Circuit (BCC) zone starting from September 15.

As it became known, for logistical operations related to the race, which will take place on September 19-21, traffic will be restricted from 01:00 AM on September 12 on the section of Pushkin Street from the intersection with Uzeyir Hajibekov Street to Neftchilar Avenue. Restrictions will remain in effect until the end of the event.
According to the Transport Management Plan, streets along the Baku City Circuit and areas covered by the track will be closed to traffic from 01:00 AM on September 15 until 08:00 AM on September 23. Entry and exit to restricted zones will only be possible with a "Residential Zone Entry Permit."
It should be noted that, based on the experience of the last two years, this year some main roads will also be open for city residents during the race to ensure comfort for citizens and drivers.
Thus, on September 15, 16, and 17, the following entrances and exits of the racing zone will be free for traffic movement without stopping or parking from 07:00 to 09:00 AM and from 18:00 to 20:00 PM.
On September 18, these roads will be open from 07:00 to 09:00 AM and from 20:00 to 22:00 PM.
Entry points:
● From Salyan Highway towards Neftchilar Avenue and Azneft Square.
● From M. Lermontov Street towards 50th Anniversary of the UN Street and Independence Street.
● From S. Vurgun Street towards U. Hajibeyли Street and Bulbul Avenue.
● From Bulbul Avenue towards Khagani Street and Neftchilar Avenue.
● From the intersection of Nizami and Pushkin Streets towards Khagani Street.
Exit points:
● From Neftchilar Avenue towards Baku Sea Port and Crescent Mall.
● From Independence Street towards Azerbaijan Avenue.
● From Neftchilar Avenue towards Azneft Square and Deniz Mall.
The BCC informs drivers that these roads will be used only as transit corridors. Also, except in emergency situations, parking of vehicles, boarding and disembarking of passengers are prohibited during the opening of transit corridors. Additionally, heavy trucks and public transport are excluded from traveling on these roads.
