Individuals attempting to collect drugs dropped from Iran using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) have been detained.

The information was distributed by the State Border Service (SBS).

Thanks to the vigilance of the border patrol on the service territory of the "Lankaran" border detachment of the SBS Border Troops Command, two unknown individuals traveling by car were spotted near the border line.

As a result of the measures taken, the movement of the vehicle was restricted, and residents of the Saray settlement of the Absheron district, Gurbanov Ilgar Nukhbala oglu (born 2000) and Maharramov Nemat Mollaga oglu (born 1985), were detained as suspects.

During the inspection of the vehicle, a total of 6 kg 354 g of marijuana was discovered and seized. The detainees confessed that they had arrived to collect drugs dropped from Iranian territory using a UAV.
