Erdogan and Putin discussed regional issues

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

This was reported by the Turkish leader's administration.

During the conversation, the parties discussed bilateral relations, the situation around Ukraine and Syria, as well as regional and global issues.

Erdogan stated that it is important to start the third round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, and that Turkey will continue to host the talks in Istanbul when dates suitable for the parties are determined.
