Vugar Bayramov: The Turkic world is uniting and continues to develop

President Ilham Aliyev, speaking at the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Gabala, touched upon a number of important global and regional geopolitical issues.

He noted that the Azerbaijani leader's speech once again confirmed the formation of the organization as one of the serious geopolitical centers.

"As the head of the Azerbaijani state noted, internal political and economic stability, important geostrategic position, positive demographic situation and young population, great opportunities in the transport and logistics sector, natural resources, as well as growing potential in military and military-technical fields make the OTS an important actor on the world stage.

The Turkic world is a region whose growth rates exceed the growth rates of the world economy. On the other hand, the deepening of strategic relations between the OTS member states creates new opportunities for economic development. This is manifested in the creation of joint investment funds, an increase in mutual trade, and extensive cooperation in transport and logistics.

After the victory, President Ilham Aliyev repeatedly stated that unhindered land passage from the main part of Azerbaijan to Nakhchivan should be ensured. The President stated that the Zangezur Corridor will be implemented and that it is only a matter of time. Thanks to the far-sighted policy of the head of state, the Joint Declaration signed in Washington confirmed the unhindered movement between the main part of our country and Nakhchivan.

As noted at the meeting in Gabala, the Zangezur Corridor is of great importance as a new transport artery and a second route both within the Middle Corridor and the North-South corridor. This also means that in the near future, the Turkic world will be connected by land transport. The Turkic world is uniting and continues to develop," said the MP.
