The President approved new fines for violations by NGOs

New fines have been introduced in Azerbaijan for violations by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) of legal requirements related to the provision of services and performance of work.
As reported by BAKU.WS, President Ilham Aliyev approved the corresponding amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses.
According to the bill, for failure by a non-governmental organization to submit contracts for the provision of services or performance of work funded by external sources within the timeframes established by law for registration, officials will be fined from 1,500 to 2,500 manats, and legal entities - from 5,000 to 7,000 manats.
Provision of services or performance of work by NGOs without a contract for the provision of services or performance of work funded by external financial sources, or under such an unregistered contract, as well as receiving financial and (or) other material resources in connection with this, entails a fine on officials from 2,500 to 5,000 manats, and on legal entities - from 8,000 to 15,000 manats.
For conducting banking and other operations by non-governmental organizations, banks and other payment service providers under contracts for the provision of services or performance of work funded by foreign sources that are not registered in accordance with the procedure established by the law "On Non-Governmental Organizations (Public Associations and Foundations)", officials are subject to a fine from 2,500 to 5,000 manats, and legal entities - from 5,000 to 8,000 manats.
