Solar Flares: 15 Eruptions in 24 Hours - What Awaits Earth?

On August 1, 15 solar flares were recorded on the Sun, whereas only six were observed the day before.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, according to GOES X-ray monitors, a significant portion of the flares occurred in the new active region 4167, where accumulated energy was being burned. The remaining events were evenly distributed across the solar disk.
According to scientists, solar activity has begun to stabilize, and the growth in the number of sunspots has stopped. The surge in activity was limited in nature and lasted only one day.
The series of flares did not impact Earth.
Additionally, specialists had previously predicted increased risks of powerful M and X-level flares occurring within the next two to three days due to the formation of new active regions.
