Azerbaijani students thwarted an Armenian provocation at the University of California
Azerbaijani students studying at the Law Faculty of the University of California, Berkeley, thwarted an attempt by Armenians to organize another provocation.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Xəzər TV, the Armenian side planned to show a film about the second Karabakh war on the day they consider to be the day of remembrance of the so-called "Armenian genocide".
However, Azerbaijani graduate students Jeyhun Khalilov, Ingilab Huseynzade, and Murad Gurbanov appealed to the university administration and demanded the cancellation of the screening.
According to the students, the term "Artsakh" was used in the description of the event, which in itself is a political provocation. Moreover, the event was timed to coincide with April 24 - a date that the Armenian side uses to promote a controversial narrative.
After reviewing the appeal, the university leadership acknowledged the validity of the complaints and not only canceled the event but also removed the mention of "Artsakh" from the description.
The students emphasized that such actions are essentially aimed at accusing Azerbaijan of genocide, which is absolutely unacceptable.
