Ali Asadov: New strategic challenges and goals are being formed for the country

The upcoming medium-term period — 2027-2030 — poses new strategic objectives and goals for the country, taking into account the complex geopolitical and economic processes in the region.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting held under his chairmanship.

According to the head of government, the consistent policy of President Ilham Aliyev and his multifaceted diplomatic activities during the past part of this year are opening new opportunities for the further development of Azerbaijan.

Asadov noted that the country continues to advance an agenda aimed at strengthening sustainable peace and stability in the region. At the same time, the restoration of territories liberated from occupation, the Great Return, economic diversification, and long-term development of the country remain among the main priorities.

"The next medium-term period, covering 2027-2030, presents the country with new strategic challenges and goals, taking into account the complex geopolitical and economic processes in the region, as well as global development trends. This requires the effective use of available opportunities in line with state policy priorities and the further strengthening of preparedness for potential risks," the Prime Minister emphasized.

An important role in addressing these tasks, according to him, is played by effective budgetary and fiscal policy. In the upcoming period, it is necessary to properly allocate financial resources across key areas, maintain socio-economic stability, and implement strategic development goals.

"Such an approach requires the close alignment of financial planning with the country's long-term development priorities and existing strategic documents," Asadov said.
