A train carrying diesel fuel and fertilizers has been dispatched from Balajary station to Armenia
Today, another shipment of diesel fuel and Russian fertilizers is being delivered from Azerbaijan to Armenia.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, a freight train was dispatched from the Balajary station of "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC toward the Beyuk-Kesik station, comprising 31 wagons carrying 1,984 tons of diesel fuel, as well as two wagons loaded with 135 tons of fertilizers.
The cargo will be delivered to Armenia in transit through the territory of Georgia. The Russian fertilizers are being sent to Armenia via Azerbaijan as part of transit shipments.
It should be recalled that on February 25, a train consisting of 39 tank cars carrying 4,500 tons of diesel fuel was dispatched from Azerbaijan to Armenia. Earlier, on January 11, 18 wagons with 979 tons of AI-92 grade motor gasoline were sent to Armenia. On January 9, a total of 2,698 tons of petroleum products were delivered to the country, including 1,742 tons of AI-95 gasoline and 956 tons of diesel fuel.
Fuel exports to Armenia began on December 18, 2025 — on that day, 1,220 tons of AI-95 grade gasoline were delivered.
Shipments in this direction are being carried out following the lifting of restrictions on the transit of goods from Azerbaijan to Armenia, which had been in effect since the period of occupation, in accordance with the decision of President Ilham Aliyev made in October 2025.
