Headphone users warned about electric shocks
Wireless headphone users sometimes encounter an unpleasant effect — the headset may slightly "shock" them due to the buildup of static electricity.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Lenta.ru, specialists explained that such discharges occur when the device comes into contact with human skin. According to foreign experts, these impulses usually pose no health risk, but they can cause discomfort.
The publication notes that the problem is related to the accumulation of static electricity, especially in dry air conditions. Journalists reminded that Apple had previously warned AirPods owners about the possibility of such effects. To reduce the risk, engineers recommended maintaining a normal humidity level indoors using humidifiers or air conditioners.
In addition, specialists advise using anti-static products — air sprays, lotions for dry skin, and special mats. Experts also drew particular attention to clothing: synthetic fabrics contribute to the buildup of static charge, so it is better to opt for natural materials.
According to American reviewers, the likelihood of static discharges increases in winter, when indoor air becomes particularly dry.
