Hikmet Hajiyev met with Romanian counterpart: strategic partnership issues discussed
Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev met with his Romanian counterpart Marius Lazurca.
As reported by BAKU.WS, H. Hajiyev wrote about this on his X account.
It is noted that Lazurca is currently on a visit to Azerbaijan.
"Had a productive meeting with my Romanian counterpart Marius Lazurca. Reaffirming the strategic partnership and traditional friendship between Azerbaijan and Romania, we discussed opportunities for further deepening our bilateral ties. Romania, as the European Union member geographically closest to the South Caucasus, holds an important place in our cooperation. We exchanged views on prospects for developing cooperation in the political, economic, energy, defense, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres. We agreed to continue our dialogue in the areas of security and politics," the post states.
