Zelensky spoke about his request to Trump

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appealed to his American counterpart Donald Trump with a request to ensure that Hungary does not block Kyiv's accession to the European Union (EU). This was reported by the publication "RBC-Ukraine".
"In the White House, he asked Trump to influence Hungary so that it would not block Ukraine's accession to the European Union. And Trump promised that his team would work on this," the article states.
"As far as I understand, appropriate signals from the White House will be sent to Budapest," said the Ukrainian leader.
Responding to a question about the attitude toward Budapest as a possible venue for negotiations on conflict resolution, Zelensky said that it is "not easy." "Let's be honest, Budapest has not supported us. I'm not saying that [Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor] Orban's policy was against Ukraine. But it was against supporting Ukraine," he noted.
