Trump welcomed Putin's decision on ceasefire
US President Donald Trump highly praised the announcement of a ceasefire in the current war, made by Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory.
Responding to journalists' questions at the White House, Trump expressed optimism about resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
"I believe we have come a long way, and perhaps something will happen - we hope that it will," said the US president.
According to him, at the moment all parties are in a favorable position to resolve the conflict.
"Both Russia and Ukraine are committed to a peaceful resolution of the issue," emphasized the head of the White House.
