Trump promised to lift sanctions against Turkey

The United States intends to lift unilateral sanctions against Turkey that were previously imposed due to Ankara's purchase of Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems.

As reported by BAKU.WS citing TASS, this was announced by American President Donald Trump.

"I can say that we will lift the sanctions," he stated at a bilateral meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The talks between the American and Turkish leaders are taking place in Ankara on the sidelines of the NATO summit.
