Trump Enraged Over Iran's "Victory" Claim
The statement by Iran's Supreme National Security Council claiming that the Islamic Republic had achieved victory over America provoked the anger of US President Donald Trump, who accused CNN of spreading disinformation.
As reported by BAKU.WS, Trump wrote about this on his Truth Social account.
"The statement circulated by CNN World News is a fake, and CNN knows this perfectly well," the US President stated, adding that the official Iranian statement is the document published on social media by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
"This statement (the document circulated by Araghchi) I posted on Truth (Truth Social). Authorities are now trying to determine whether there is a criminal trail behind the publication of the fake CNN World statement. CNN is ordered to immediately retract this report and issue a full apology for their, as always, disgraceful reporting. The results of the investigation will be announced shortly," Trump emphasized.
It should be noted that Iran's Supreme National Security Council released a statement about an alleged victory over the US and published conditions that, according to its version, the White House was forced to accept. After this, Abbas Araghchi posted a clarification on his social media accounts regarding the conditions under which a ceasefire could be reached. Later, Trump also posted the statement published by Araghchi on his Truth Social page.
Although the Iranian Foreign Minister's statement was circulated with reference to the Supreme National Security Council, the texts of these documents differ.
