Tom Cruise made it into the Guinness Book of Records

Actor Tom Cruise has officially entered the Guinness Book of Records thanks to his incredible achievement on the set of the eighth installment of the "Mission Impossible" franchise. The action star received the prestigious title of "the person who performed the most jumps with a burning parachute" - an astounding 16 times.
During this extreme stunt, Cruise jumped from a helicopter with a parachute specially soaked in fuel, which was set on fire during the jump. After that, the actor cut off the burnt parts of the first parachute and activated the spare one. No other actor or professional stuntman in the world has been able to replicate this achievement.
"Tom doesn't just play action heroes - he is an action hero! Much of his success is explained by the fact that he pays enormous attention to authenticity and pushes the boundaries of what a lead actor can do. It is a great honor for us to recognize his absolute fearlessness with this new title," says the official statement on the Guinness Book of Records website.
