Three thousand people arrested in Iran for participating in protests

In Iran, 3 thousand people who participated in anti-government protests have been detained.

Note that the protests, which began in Iran on December 29 after a sharp devaluation of the national currency - the rial, grew into anti-government actions in most major cities of the country. It is reported that up to 2000 people died during the protests. After mass rallies in support of the government, held on January 12 with the participation of hundreds of thousands of people, the protests declined.
