The US threatened to leave the European Union without artificial intelligence
The European Union should not impose massive fines on major American technology companies.
As reported by CNBC, this was stated by U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Andrew Puzder.
According to him, if the EU wants to be part of the artificial intelligence (AI) economy, it needs the data centers and access to hardware that the U.S. has. And if European authorities do not want to lose all of this, they should reconsider their attitude toward American tech giants, which may start reconsidering their prospects in the EU market.
Prior to this, the bloc's antitrust chief Teresa Ribera stated that "all companies operating in the EU must comply with the laws and respect European values."
