The US Armed Forces have completed strikes against Iran

The U.S. military has completed a new wave of strikes against Iran.

This was announced by the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).

"CENTCOM forces completed additional strikes on several targets in Iran on June 10 by order of the commander-in-chief," the command's statement on X reads.

It added that the targets of the attacks were Iranian communication systems, air defense assets, and intelligence systems.

A series of explosions were heard in several cities in Iran. Air defense systems are working to destroy targets in the sky over several provinces of the country simultaneously.

According to its information, the attacks targeted the seaport of Kangan, the city of Bandar Abbas, and the districts of Qeshm and Minab. It is noted that clashes between U.S. and Iranian armed forces also occurred at sea.

In addition, it became known that U.S. President Donald Trump considered conducting a large-scale but time-limited operation against Iran during a meeting with members of his administration on June 10. This was reported by the Axios portal, citing its own sources.

It is claimed that the goal of the operation is to force Iran to change its position in negotiations. According to the outlet, the meeting was attended by Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine, and the U.S. leader's special envoy Steve Witkoff. In addition, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth joined them via video link from the U.S. Southern Command headquarters in Florida.

The U.S. armed forces have begun delivering additional strikes against Iran.

"Central Command forces began at 5:15 PM Eastern Time (1:15 AM June 11 Baku time — editor's note) delivering additional strikes in self-defense against a number of targets in Iran by order of the commander-in-chief," the statement reads.

Earlier, Iranian media reported explosions in various areas of Iran. According to preliminary data, air defense systems are operating in the Tehran area; high activity of Iranian aviation is also reported, along with explosions on Qeshm Island, in Sirik, and Minab.

In addition, reports are coming in of American strikes on islands in the Strait of Hormuz area, as well as Iranian strikes on Iraqi Kurdistan.
