The Mysterious Creature Washed Ashore in Great Britain
In Great Britain, in Suffolk county, an unusual creature with bright bristles was washed ashore after a storm, reports BAKU.WS with reference to The Sun.
The animal was noticed by a couple walking their dog. It was at least 15 cm long, and the man who found it noted that it looked like an alien from another planet.
Scientists determined that it was a giant sea worm from the Aphroditidae family. These invertebrates live on the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, and they are often washed ashore after storms.
Adult specimens reach up to 30 cm in length. Their body is covered with muscular outgrowths - parapodia, as well as bristles. These worms have no eyes.
