Tabriz has water supplies left for 75 days

Water consumption in Tabriz has reached a critical level - the city has only 75 days of water reserves left.
As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Mehr agency, this was announced at a press conference by the head of the Regional Water Company of East Azerbaijan, Yusif Gafarzade.
According to him, the region consumes an average of 12 thousand liters of drinking water per second daily, and during peak consumption hours - more than 13 thousand. The annual consumption volume is 380 million cubic meters, which, in his opinion, requires strict regulation. In rural areas, this figure reaches 90 million cubic meters.
Gafarzade also noted that five cities in East Azerbaijan are already in the "red zone," and another nine are on the verge of a water crisis. Among them is Tabriz.
