Stricter rules for foreigners staying in Georgia

The Parliament of Georgia has prepared a new package of laws, according to which the rules for foreigners staying in the country are being tightened.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was announced at a briefing by the executive secretary of "Georgian Dream" Mamuka Mdinaradze.
According to him, a new type of punishment will be added to the Criminal Code - expulsion of a foreign citizen from Georgia and a ban on entry to Georgia for a certain period.
Also, the amount of fines for foreign citizens who have violated the rules of stay on the territory of Georgia is being increased, and the procedure for expelling foreign citizens illegally staying on the territory of the country is significantly simplified, Mdinaradze noted.
