Rubio spoke about Trump's intentions to challenge the UN

US President Donald Trump plans to challenge the United Nations (UN), as he believes it is not fulfilling its role in the international arena.
This was stated on September 23 by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a broadcast on Fox News.
"I think the president is going to challenge the UN to find its meaning, its purpose, and its usefulness as an organization, because it seems that it's not doing its job," said the head of the State Department.
Rubio provided examples that, according to him, confirm the UN's helplessness: the Russia-Ukraine and Palestinian-Israeli conflicts, problems in Haiti, where "bandits have taken over the country." He emphasized that in these cases, the organization does not play a significant role, despite US calls for intervention.
Additionally, the US Secretary of State reminded that Trump had previously criticized the UN for inefficiency and wasteful spending. He noted that at one time, the US president offered to renovate the UN building, but the organization chose to spend money inefficiently. "This epitomizes how useless the UN has become as an organization," added Rubio.
In his opinion, despite its great potential, the UN is not realizing it, having become merely a place for annual meetings, statements, and letters, but with minimal results.
