Polygamist with 30 children accused of indecent acts - MEDIA SCANDAL

Ivan Sukhov - a Russian polygamist who gained wide recognition thanks to his family of 30 children born from 12 women.
As reported by BAKU.WS, he actively promotes polygamy, calling himself the "president of a small country." Currently, he lives in Moscow with three wives and 14 children in a three-room apartment, where a separate room is allocated only to him.
Scandalous accusations and criminal case
In June 2025, Sukhov's eldest daughter, 19-year-old Anna, accused him of sexual harassment, claiming that he began committing indecent acts when she was 13 years old. According to her, her father forced her to touch him during a vacation together. Later, she claimed, he tried to strangle her with a bag. Anna's statements were aired on the "Let Them Talk" program on Channel One.
In response to the accusations, Sukhov stated that his daughter might have been influenced by manipulations from the media or deputies, and rejected all accusations. He called his daughter's statements "fairy tales."
The Investigative Committee of Russia began an investigation into these statements, and in September 2025, a criminal case was opened under Article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Indecent Acts"). If Sukhov's guilt is proven, he faces up to three years in prison.
Legal proceedings
In addition to the criminal case, Sukhov filed a lawsuit against State Duma deputy Stanislav Naumov, accusing him of slander after he publicly condemned his lifestyle on the "Let Them Talk" program. Sukhov demands an apology from the deputy and compensation in the amount of one billion rubles.
Conclusion
The story of Ivan Sukhov has attracted the attention of the public and media, becoming a subject of discussion in the context of polygamy, family values, and children's rights. Ongoing investigations and legal proceedings will determine the further development of events.
