The Russian Ministry of Justice has added publicist and political figure Rinat Mukhametov and journalist and former expert on "What? Where? When?" Ekaterina Mereminskaya to the register of foreign agents.
This follows from data on the ministry's website.
"R.M. Mukhametov disseminated false information about decisions made by public authorities of the Russian Federation and the policies they pursue. <...> E.O. Mereminskaya participated in the creation and dissemination to an unlimited number of persons of messages and materials of foreign agents, as well as organizations included in the list of foreign and international organizations whose activities are deemed undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation," the statement says.
Activist Elena Matveeva, the information resource "Visionary's Channel," and the project "Perm-36" were also added to the register.
