Pensioner hired hitman to kill husband for inheritance

A shocking incident occurred in the Russian capital. A 69-year-old Moscow woman took a desperate step by hiring a hitman to eliminate her own husband. According to the press service of the capital's prosecutor's office, the motive for the crime was the woman's desire to solely possess the inheritance.

According to the investigation, the married couple was in the process of divorce. Unwilling to divide their jointly acquired property, the pensioner developed a criminal plan to eliminate her husband through a hired killer, whom she commissioned to poison her spouse.

However, the woman's plan was doomed to fail - the intended executor immediately contacted law enforcement. Under the control of operatives, the perpetrator handed over the first installment of one million rubles to the "killer." After staging the husband's death, a second payment of four million rubles followed.

The culmination came during the money transfer: the elderly client was caught red-handed. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against the pensioner under the article "attempted murder."
