A year earlier, in 2023, the Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to French-American scientist Pierre Agostini, Hungarian-Austrian researcher Ferenc Krausz, and French scientist Anne L'Huillier. They were recognized "for experimental methods that generate attosecond light pulses for the study of electron dynamics in matter."
