Nobel Peace Prize laureate arrested in Iran
Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights activist Narges Mohammadi arrested in Iran.
According to the BBC, she was detained along with other activists while participating in the memorial ceremony for human rights defender Khosrow Alikordi.
Khosrow Alikordi was found dead in his office a week ago. According to the examination results, he died from a heart attack.
As a reminder, Narges Mohammadi was born on April 21, 1972, in the city of Zanjan (South Azerbaijan). Since 1996, she has been working in journalism and has worked for several Iranian media outlets. In 2023, Narges Mohammadi was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for her work in defending human rights in Iran.
