Netanyahu threatened Iran with unprecedented response in case of strike on Israel
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Iran against striking the Jewish state, threatening Tehran with a response of unprecedented force to any attack.
He stated this at a plenary session of the Knesset.
"Israel has never been stronger than it is now. The alliance with the US has never been stronger than it is now. We are a people with eyes wide open, ready for any scenario. I have made it clear... (to Iran - ed.) that if they attack Israel, we will respond with such force that they cannot even imagine," Netanyahu said.
At the same time, he emphasized the importance of unity between the people and the army of Israel, especially on the eve of the Jewish holiday of Purim, dedicated to the victory of the Jews over the Persian king, which in 2026 will be celebrated on March 2-3.
The Prime Minister also rejected criticism from opposition deputies, stating that in light of tensions surrounding Iran, "now is not the time for polemics."
