Jackie Chan explained how he prepared for death
Legendary actor and stuntman Jackie Chan has recorded a farewell song, which will be published only after his passing. He announced this at the premiere of the film "Unexpected Family" in Beijing, noting that the track is conceived as a personal message to viewers and loved ones.
According to BAKU.WS with reference to Chinese media, the artist said that he instructed his team to prepare the composition so that it would sound as sincere as possible and reflect his feelings for fans and family.
According to Chan, over the past few years, he has lost many friends and colleagues, and each farewell makes him feel the fragility of life more acutely. The actor noted that people inevitably age and pass away, adding sadly that his Weibo account lately consists almost entirely of farewell posts in memory of industry colleagues.
The news about the farewell song especially excited fans against the background of past fake reports about Jackie Chan's death. In the fall of 2025, AI-generated images of the actor from the hospital spread on the Internet, but the Daily Mail publication then refuted these rumors.
Music has always played an important role in Chan's career. In addition to more than 150 films, he created soundtracks for some of them. One of the most famous - Kung Fu Fighting - gained worldwide popularity.
However, despite the recorded farewell track, the actor is not ending his career. Paramount Studios is reviving the "Rush Hour" franchise, which will once again star Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.
