Media: Iran struck a chemical plant in Israel
Iran struck an industrial facility near the Israeli city of Beersheba.
This was reported by the Iranian agency Tasnim.
"An Iranian missile hit an industrial zone in Beersheba," the publication states.
As a result, a major fire broke out at the industrial facility. The Neot Hovav industrial zone, located south of Beersheba, is considered to be the main center of Israel's chemical industry, producing approximately half of all chemicals in the country, and it also houses a power plant and storage facilities.
According to The Times of Israel, emergency service and medical teams were dispatched to the scene of the fire. No one was injured, the outlet clarifies.
Prior to this, it was reported that Iran attacked two aluminum plants in the Middle East linked to the U.S. military and aerospace industry.
