Masud Pezeshkian: We will defend ourselves
We believe that war and conflict are not in the interest of any party, and we prefer engagement and diplomacy, but we will not hesitate on the issue of self-defense.
This was stated by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during a telephone conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
In the information distributed by Iran International, it is noted that Pezeshkian also commented on the US proposal for negotiations:
"If America truly seeks genuine diplomacy, it must stop provocative actions".
It should be noted that during the telephone conversation, Pezeshkian and Shehbaz Sharif also discussed the development of the situation in the Middle East and expressed their intention to continue diplomatic dialogue.
