Iran struck Erbil airport

Iran launched a missile strike on the positions of US forces and Kurdish militia at Erbil Airport (Iraqi Kurdistan province).

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by Iranian media citing a statement from the country's armed forces.

"Several hours ago, the Iranian army, as part of ongoing operational activities, struck the gathering point of American troops and separatist groups at Erbil Airport with surface-to-surface missiles," the media quoted the press service statement as saying.

The statement indicated that the targeted zone was "one of the key logistics and command centers" for US operations, where according to the Iranian side, "military equipment was stationed."
