The movement of oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz in southern Iran has effectively come to a complete halt.
This was reported on February 28 by the Fars agency, citing data from monitoring systems.
"Monitoring of international tanker traffic tracking systems reports a speed reduction to zero for oil vessels in the Strait of Hormuz area," the agency's Telegram channel stated.
The Reuters agency also reported that a number of European countries have recommended that tankers flying their flags refrain from passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
