In the USA, they warned about a dangerous fungus threatening the world

The Aspergillus fungus could become a serious threat to millions of people worldwide due to climate changes that contribute to its active reproduction. This alarming information was published by the authoritative American newspaper Financial Times.
According to the publication, this fungus already affects millions of people annually. Scientists predict an even more concerning outlook: by 2100, the distribution area of Aspergillus may increase by 77% to new territories if humanity continues to intensively use fossil fuels.
Experts emphasize that the increase in global temperature creates favorable conditions for expanding the geography of potentially deadly pathogens, including fungal infections with resistance to medications.
The scientific community warns that the world is at a "tipping point" in the spread of dangerous pathogens. Particularly alarming is the fact that about 90% of fungal species still remain unstudied.
Financial Times provides shocking statistics: invasive fungal infections cause approximately 3.8 million deaths annually. Aspergillosis poses a particular danger to people with weakened immune systems.
Notably, Nature magazine recently published an article about the popular series "The Last of Us," whose new season premieres on April 13. The publication notes that the series has become frighteningly realistic: the trailer shows how the cordyceps fungus infects people through airborne spores, not with tentacles - which is exactly how infection occurs in nature. Additionally, the storyline about the fungus becoming dangerous to humans due to global warming also has a scientific basis.
