"In my life, I've faced many problems related to excess weight, and it's something that affects me," Gomez said in an interview with Allure. She explained that she is actively fighting this problem with the help of therapy. "I was hurt when someone said I was fat. Why did I have this emotion? Oh, now I understand, it's related to that time when I was going through some medical examination and gained weight," she gave an example of her internal dialogue.
