The European Union extended sanctions against Russia
The European Union has officially extended restrictive measures against Russia for another six months.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the EU Council website, the sanctions will remain in effect until March 15, 2026.
"The Council has decided to extend restrictive measures targeting those responsible for undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine for another six months," the statement says.
The restrictions continue to apply to more than 2,500 individuals and legal entities.
Brussels emphasized that the EU is ready to increase pressure on Russia, including the introduction of new sanctions.
