In Italy, an official fell in the ministry and damaged a historic stained-glass window
The member of the regional council of Sardinia for industrial affairs, Emanuele Cani, fell in the building of the Ministry for Enterprise and Made in Italy and damaged a stained glass window from 1932, created by master Mario Sironi.
As reported by BAKU.WS, according to Corriere della Sera.
According to Cani, the incident occurred when he was descending the stairs in the Roman Palazzo Piacentini. He slipped and broke the right part of the "Charter of Labor" stained glass window - one of the key documents of the Italian fascist period.
"I was leaving and, going down the stairs, lost my balance... There was no protective panel on the stained glass. I didn't hit it with my head, but with my hand. Half of my body literally hung outside the building. I nearly fell down from about ten meters. It could have ended much worse," he recounted.
The official only suffered bruises. Doctors recommended he take several days of rest and undergo physiotherapy.
