Huseyn Gasanov was sentenced to four years in a penal colony
The Presnensky Court of Moscow has issued a verdict in absentia against blogger Huseyn Gasanov, sentencing him to four years of imprisonment in a case involving money laundering.

In addition to the prison sentence, Gasanov is required to pay a fine of 1 million rubles and will be prohibited from posting content on the internet for two years. His apartment in Moscow City, valued at an estimated 46 million rubles, has also been confiscated.
The investigation believes that, while operating as a sole proprietor, Gasanov evaded taxes totaling over 170 million rubles.
