Google may be blocked in Russia
Deputy head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technology and Communications Andrey Svintsov did not rule out the possibility of blocking Google on the territory of Russia.
As reported by BAKU.WS, he announced this on the air of the radio station "Govorit Moskva" (Moscow Speaking). According to the parliamentarian, from a technical point of view, restrictive measures can be implemented, however, such a step may not currently be a priority. "In my opinion, this is quite technically feasible," Svintsov noted.
The deputy also expressed the opinion that Roskomnadzor may wait for the company's return to the Russian market to collect the debt. We are talking about a sum of 91.5 quintillion rubles - this is a penalty charged for blocking Russian broadcasters' channels on the YouTube platform.
