EU countries approved trade tariffs against the USA
The Council of the European Union approved the first package of tariffs on US goods, which will come into force on April 15.
This is reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the press service of the EU Council.
"EU countries voted in support of the European Commission's proposal to introduce trade countermeasures against the United States," the statement said.
The document emphasizes that these tariffs are being introduced in response to the first block of "American tariffs on steel and aluminum" and "will begin to be collected from April 15."
According to Bloomberg's assessment, the tariffs will apply to American imports worth 21 billion euros.
