Elon Musk sued Apple and OpenAI

Elon Musk accused Apple and OpenAI of collusion and attempting to suppress competition in the field of artificial intelligence, reports Euronews. The billionaire filed a 61-page lawsuit in a Texas federal court on behalf of his companies xAI and X Corp.
According to Musk, Apple deliberately promotes ChatGPT and OpenAI products in the App Store, artificially lowering the ratings of competitors - in particular his chatbot Grok. The lawsuit states that the partnership between the two corporations is "a story about how two monopolists joined forces to maintain dominance in a world where artificial intelligence is becoming the main technology".
The document claims that Apple views AI as a threat to its "iPhone empire" and therefore entered into collusion with OpenAI. Musk accuses OpenAI itself of prioritizing profit over safety, seeking to cement its leadership following the success of ChatGPT. Musk's lawsuit echoes the antitrust investigation by the US Department of Justice against Apple, filed a year ago. Now the businessman is demanding not only compensation but also a court injunction against the alleged "illegal tactics" of the corporations.
